Nancy Pyle spoke on Economic Development on May 15, 2008.
Nancy Pyle has served on the San Jose City Council as the representative for District 10 since 2005. A retired teacher of 25 years and a former Community College Board Trustee, Councilmember Pyle represents residents from Almaden Valley and Blossom Valley. As District 10's representative, Councilmember Pyle has taken an innovative approach to solving today's challenges through creativity and collaboration. She has focused city government on the basics, maintaining our streets and parks, keeping our neighborhoods safe, investing resources in youth and senior programs and making city government more accountable. Councilmember Pyle currently serves on the Santa Clara County Valley Transportation Authority board and is the Chair of the City's Community and Economic Development Committee. She also serves on the Neighborhood Services and Education Committee, the Santa Clara County Emergency Preparedness Council and is the liaison to the Parks and Recreation Commission and the Disability Advisory Commission.
Nancy is a graduate of LeMoyne College in Syracuse, New York, and earned a Masters Degree in Educational Administration from the US International University in San Diego. Councilmember Pyle and her husband have lived in Almaden and Blossom Valley for 25 years.
