"Where flowers bloom, so does hope." (Lady Bird Johnson)

I am not a great gardener. Each May I buy a horde of new plants and hope they last through the fall. I ignore them all winter and replace with a new batch in the spring. This year the unusual weather has rejuvenated many that I thought were dead and gone, so unexpectedly my yard is filled with colorful posies. Lady Bird Johnson's quote struck a chord with me. If flowers can bloom under my haphazard caregiving, is that a sign that we should have hope for the future despite the turmoil and chaos we are experiencing as a nation?
I say yes and a big reason for this optimism is reflected below. Look at how much the League is doing to protect voter rights and our democracy. Look at the many volunteer hours devoted to voter outreach and analyzing vital issues in our community. Look at all the ways you can become involved so that you feel you are making a difference.
There's a lot to read so I'll keep this message short and sweet. Thank you for all you do for the League and please think about how you can grow your participation (and hope) this spring.
